About the Library

Core Value Statement
“A 21st century library of technology and information literacy governed by an open and welcoming culture.”
Mission Statement
The Wasco High School Library staff serves the needs of the students through the development of information literacy - technology, research, and critical thinking skills - governed by an open and welcoming culture. The library staff seeks to be culturally responsive to the diverse community it serves through the resources it provides. We support curiosity, creativity, and a culture of reading. The librarian will work collaboratively with staff to promote and support student learning. By helping students excel and grow in information literacy and developing a reading culture, students will be equipped and ready to move into college and career-readiness and become an active participant of the global community.
